If you were Athens for a week, how many gyros would you eat? Does 1 per day sound like a lot? What if I told you they were under 2 euro, and absolutely delicious… maybe now average it out to 1.5 gyros per day? Add on the fact that they are the easiest thing to order and the fastest, most convenient food you can feast on. If your a busy man in Athens such as myself you may think this could perhaps push it to 2 a day. In the name of full disclosure let’s get it out there that these tasty little treats are terribly unhealthily for you, but who cares? Now for my confession. I am up to about 4 a day. They are all I eat, and I plan to fill up on them and leave Athens never wanting another; if that’s even possible.

I am writing this little story from my rented apartment who I share with 3 other fantastic travel bloggers. We have Rob from stophavingaboringlife.com ; a sweet dude like myself from Ottawa who will heading north into the Greek mountains with me tomorrow. There is Dylan from thetravellingeditor.com who is one of the speakers here, also a snappy dresser who likes to cut up the rug on the DF. Last, but certainly not least, we have the lovely Kristin from bemytravelmuse.com who has shared a wealth of knowledge with me about this business that I may not have learned with out meeting her.

We have all come for same purpose, the travel blog exchange trade show. I didn’t know what to expect upon arrival, and as usual hadn’t done the necessary due diligence of research that one should do before one comes to such an event. It has been fantastic to meet so many like minded people and when you get 150 extroverted travellers who love attention as much as the one beside them, it makes for very interesting and entertaining evenings. The evenings seem to last longer then the days, if that makes sense. Needless to say I will be in attendance of TBEX for the foreseeable future. For now I must get back to my second gyro of the day, and some much deserved water and rest. I will be back blogging hard over the next couple weeks so make sure to keep an eye out! For my travel blogger friends; if you have any insights you would like to share about TBEX just drop them below. Until next time…
